Kaare Klint's well-proportioned 1937 sofa is divided into sections, each supported by a set of wooden crossbars—an elegant conceit that also gives more legroom and makes it easier to rise from sitting. In both 2- and 3-seater models, it originally graced the office of Denmark’s prime minister and extends a similarly magisterial appeal today.
