Description
Dan Svarth made the first prototype of this chair in 1972 while he was teaching at the Royal Danish Academy's School of Architecture and, at the same time, working with the renowned Danish architect and designer Poul Kjærholm. Dan made the prototype himself, bending ordinary water pipes for the frame and using wire that wasn't strong enough for longterm use. Now, woven diagonally in one sweep with high-tech carbon fiber, the seating becomes a reality. Wire Chair has a comfortable "give" as it follows the shape of the body and is elegantly framed in hand-polished stainless steel. Made in Denmark by A. Petersen.
