With a extravagant round tabletop extending more than 6 feet in diameter, Mega from designers Anya Sebton and Eva Lilja Löwenhielm certainly lives up to its name. First suggested by a museum exhibition at Paris' Palais Royale, the table series made in Sweden by Asplund employs a paneled column base in solid oak as its signature motif. With a corresponding solid-oak edge in the same finish, the oak-veneer tabletop is coated with polyurethaning lacquer and the table is available in a impressive range of stain colors. Designer Anya likens the Palais range to "the elegance and luxury from past tense,“ combined with "a pure Scandinavian expression.
