With the Pilot series, Belgian furniture makers Quinze & Milan offer a fresh take on the archetypal stool. Collaborating with Austrian designers Patrick Rampelotto and Fritz Pernkopf, the seating is a study in visual contrasts—a polypropylene seat played against oiled-oak wood legs. A special manufacturing technique quickly processes the molded seat within seconds of being pressed, solidifying to create the uniquely textured surface. Packaged as an eco-friendly flat-pack, Pilot is easily assembled with the threaded ends of the legs readily screwed into the generously proportioned seat.
