Morning has broken, but never before as kaleidoscopically vivid as the Digital Sunrise blanket from Spanish artist and designer Cristian Zuzunaga. Part of the Bitmap Collection from his eponymous studio that's split between Barcelona and London, the pixilated print was conceived from the process of storing an image by compressing its digital elements. Knitted from a silk and superfine merino wool blend, each blanket takes 5 hours to produce in the handcrafted jacquard technique. Yet, it's equally infused with the spirit of this unalloyed urbanist and peripatetic creator.
